Workplace gas duties
HSE tells employers to use a Gas Safe registered engineer, keep appliances and pipework maintained, and check the engineer is qualified for the work. That applies in shops, restaurants, schools, hospitals and similar premises covered by the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
A landlord of purely residential rooms still needs the annual domestic record for those rooms. Mixed-use buildings often need both: CP12 for flats, commercial certification for the shop or kitchen below.
